Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, codenamed "Curveball" by the German BND intelligence service, was an Iraqi defector whose fabricated claims of mobile biological-weapons laboratories formed a central pillar of the case for the 2003 invasion of Iraq. His allegations were featured prominently in Colin Powell's 5 February 2003 presentation to the UN Security Council.
