Exclusion Policy
Conspirafy examines conspiracy theories rigorously. But some "theories" exist not to explain events but to cause harm. We decline to cover them.
What We Won't Cover
1. Antisemitic Conspiracy Theories
Theories rooted in antisemitic tropes — blood libel, global Jewish control narratives, "Rothschild" conspiracies that recycle Protocols of the Elders of Zion framing — are excluded. These are not theories amenable to evidence-based examination; they are hate narratives with a documented history of inciting real-world violence.
2. Crisis Actor Claims
We will not cover theories claiming that victims of school shootings, terrorist attacks, or mass casualty events are paid actors staging tragedies. These claims target real victims and their families, cause documented harassment, and have no evidentiary basis.
3. Active Incitement
Theories that exist primarily to incite violence or harassment against specific living individuals are excluded. This includes doxxing narratives, stochastic terrorism framing, and content that directly promotes radicalization toward extremist violence.
4. Content Targeting Minors
Theories that name or identify specific minors, or that exist to generate harassment campaigns against children or their families, are excluded without exception.
Why We Exclude
This is not censorship. It is editorial judgment. We believe that platforming content designed to harm real people is inconsistent with rigorous examination. Refusing to amplify a harassment campaign disguised as a "theory" is the same editorial decision that leads us to debunk flat earth — following the evidence to its conclusion.
Excluded theories are marked with an excluded_reason in our database and are not published. They are not deleted — we maintain the audit trail.
