TikTok and the CCP Propaganda Algorithm
TikTok, owned by ByteDance (a Chinese-headquartered company), has been the subject of US government concern since at least 2019. CFIUS and congressional investigations have documented real data-collection concerns. Studies have found algorithmic differences in how sensitive political topics (Xinjiang, Tibet, Tiananmen Square) are surfaced on TikTok compared to competitor platforms. Whether these differences represent coordinated CCP propaganda operations or organic content-policy choices remains contested. The ban-and-reversal cycle through 2024-2025 reflects genuine unresolved institutional uncertainty.

The Diddy Combs Trafficking Conspiracy
In September 2024 a federal grand jury indicted Sean "Diddy" Combs on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, and transportation for purposes of prostitution. Combs has denied all charges. Civil suits from multiple plaintiffs preceded the indictment. A broader conspiracy framing — that the case exposes a systemic trafficking network embedded across the music industry, and that powerful figures are suppressing evidence — has circulated widely but goes significantly beyond the documented indictment.

MLK Assassination Conspiracy
James Earl Ray was convicted in 1969 of murdering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Memphis on April 4, 1968. Ray later recanted his guilty plea. In 1999 a Memphis civil jury in King v. Jowers found, by a preponderance of evidence, that a conspiracy involving Loyd Jowers and unnamed government agencies contributed to King's death. The King family supported that verdict. The FBI's COINTELPRO program had surveilled and harassed King extensively. The criminal conviction of Ray stands; the conspiracy question remains genuinely open.

RFK Assassination Conspiracy
Sirhan Sirhan was convicted of murdering Senator Robert F. Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968. Sirhan has never denied firing his weapon. Acoustic and forensic evidence, along with multiple witness accounts, has raised the question of whether a second gunman fired the fatal shot from a different direction. RFK Jr. has publicly supported re-examination of the case. A 2022 California parole board recommendation for parole was reversed by Governor Newsom.
