The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), created by executive order in January 2025 with Elon Musk as a senior advisory figure, identified real inefficiencies and duplicate payments in federal contracting. A conspiracy framing built on this foundation claims that DOGE uncovered explosive evidence of trillions in hidden slush funds or systemic fraud that is being suppressed by the deep state, congressional leadership, or the administrative bureaucracy. GAO and Inspector General reports confirm real but limited waste findings; the "suppression of explosive revelations" framing is unsubstantiated.

A specific claim circulated after January 6, 2021 that Speaker Nancy Pelosi deliberately delayed or refused National Guard deployment to allow the Capitol breach to occur, thereby "setting up" Republicans. The House Select Committee on January 6th documented that Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader McConnell had in fact requested National Guard assistance; the documented delay in deployment occurred at the executive branch and Pentagon level. The setup framing has been refuted by named participants and the documentary record.

Marilyn Monroe died on August 4–5, 1962 at her Brentwood home. The Los Angeles County coroner ruled probable suicide by acute barbiturate poisoning. Persistent claims hold that she was murdered — by the CIA, FBI, or individuals connected to President Kennedy or Attorney General Robert Kennedy — to prevent her from disclosing sensitive information. The FBI surveillance file on Monroe is real. Multiple forensic re-examinations have not produced new evidence supporting the assassination claim, which remains unsubstantiated.

Malcolm X was assassinated on February 21, 1965 at the Audubon Ballroom in New York City. Three men were convicted: Talmadge Hayer (who confessed), Muhammad Aziz, and Khalil Islam. In November 2021, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance vacated the convictions of Aziz and Islam after a reinvestigation found that the FBI and NYPD had withheld exculpatory evidence from the defense. Aziz and Islam had maintained their innocence for more than 55 years. The exoneration partially substantiates the claim that authorities had concealed their foreknowledge of threats to Malcolm X.

Two distinct documented patterns are examined here. First, disconnection: the Church of Scientology's documented practice of requiring members to sever contact with family members and friends who are critical of the Church or have left it. This practice is attested by court testimony, regulatory findings, and named ex-members including Mike Rinder, Leah Remini, and Paul Haggis. Second, the 1993 IRS settlement granting the Church tax-exempt status after a prolonged campaign against IRS officials that the Church described as litigation; the settlement's terms were not made public, which has sustained a "secret deal" conspiracy framing. Both patterns are documented; the contested element is whether the IRS settlement constituted improper back-door dealing rather than normal legal resolution.

NXIVM was a self-help and multi-level marketing organisation led by Keith Raniere that operated from the late 1990s until 2018. Its criminal core is fully adjudicated: Raniere was convicted in June 2019 on federal charges including sex trafficking, forced labour, racketeering, and possession of child sexual abuse material, and sentenced to 120 years. Actress Allison Mack and heiress Clare Bronfman were among those who pleaded guilty to related charges. The conspiracy dimension concerns how NXIVM operated for more than two decades despite early reporting, the role of NXIVM-connected political donations in deflecting scrutiny, and the 2017 New York Times investigation that triggered federal prosecution.

On September 11, 1973, Chilean President Salvador Allende died as military forces bombed the presidential palace and seized power, installing General Augusto Pinochet. Declassified CIA, State Department, and Nixon White House records confirm that the United States actively sought to destabilise Allende's government through covert operations (Track I and Track II), economic pressure, and military contacts. The CIA's own documents describe authorisation from President Nixon and National Security Adviser Henry Kissinger. The verdict is confirmed: US covert involvement is a documented historical fact, not speculation.

In August 1953, the CIA (Operation Ajax) and British MI6 (Operation Boot) orchestrated the overthrow of Iran's democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh and restored Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi to full power. The CIA acknowledged its role in a 2013 declassified internal history. The coup followed Mossadegh's nationalisation of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC) and is widely regarded as a foundational event in modern Iranian-US relations, contributing to the conditions that produced the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Jeffrey Epstein operated a documented criminal network involving the sexual abuse of dozens of minors over many years. In 2008, then-US Attorney Alexander Acosta negotiated a non-prosecution agreement (NPA) that shielded Epstein and unnamed co-conspirators from federal charges, in what a federal judge later ruled violated victims' rights laws. The Miami Herald's 2018 "Perversion of Justice" investigation, by Julie K. Brown, documented systematic obstruction and the NPA's unusual terms. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in 2021 on federal trafficking charges. The claim that investigations into broader networks of powerful associates have been suppressed is partially documented — specific obstruction is confirmed; the full extent of prosecutorial suppression and the identity of all beneficiaries of the NPA remain disputed and partially unresolved.

AROPL is a small new religious movement led by Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq, who claims succession to Ahmed Al-Hassan, who himself claimed in the early 2000s to be the Mahdi (the prophesied figure in Islamic eschatology). Multiple ex-members and journalists have documented cult-like high-control dynamics, leader-devotion, financial extraction, and serious allegations against named figures in the leadership. AROPL denies the allegations and continues to operate openly. The movement is unrelated to and frequently confused with the mainstream Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, an established religious community founded in 1889 with no connection to AROPL.

Two related conspiracy framings are commonly applied to "antifa" — a recent rhetorical "cult of antifa" framing, and the older claim that antifa is a centrally coordinated terror organisation. Both fit poorly with the documented reality of decentralised local antifascist affinity groups, no central leadership, no unified funding source, and no formal membership. Local affinity groups (Rose City Antifa, NYC Anti-Fascist Action) and specific protest violence are documented in court records; the larger "central cabal" and "high-control cult" claims are not. FBI Director Christopher Wray testified in September 2020 that antifa is "an ideology, not an organisation."

In September–November 2001, letters laced with weapons-grade anthrax spores were mailed to news outlets and US senators, killing five people and infecting seventeen others. The FBI's Amerithrax investigation ultimately focused on Bruce E. Ivins, a USAMRIID scientist who died by suicide in 2008 before charges were filed. A 2011 National Academy of Sciences review found the FBI's scientific case "not as definitive as portrayed."

Claims that the April 2026 White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting was staged or allowed to happen for political advantage.

Claims that U.S.-backed Ukrainian laboratories were creating bioweapons, used in geopolitical disinformation.

Claims that FEMA disaster aid is a pretext to confiscate land, supplies, or children after emergencies.

Claims that Euromaidan violence was staged or orchestrated by Western intelligence rather than arising from Ukrainian political conflict and security-force actions.

Claims that jihadist groups such as ISIS or Boko Haram were created or controlled by US or Israeli intelligence services.
