Is it true: Travis Walton abduction (Arizona, 5 Nov 1975)?
There's no solid evidence for it.
The claim judged here is that Travis Walton was taken aboard an alien craft near Heber, Arizona, on 5 November 1975 and returned five days later. His disappearance and reappearance are documented, and five of the six crew members were judged truthful by an Arizona Department of Public Safety polygraph examiner, but that examination mainly asked whether the crew had harmed Walton. No physical evidence of a craft or an abduction has been produced in 50 years, the sources identify no witness to the craft outside the crew, and Walton's own polygraph results conflict. Skeptics, notably Philip Klass, allege a hoax with a financial motive; that is an allegation, not a proven fact, and Walton and, at times, Mike Rogers (reported to have died in 2026) have denied it. The abduction account has not cleared the evidence bar, and it has not been disproved.
