Is it true: Gaza October 7 False Flag Claims?
No — this has been debunked.
Hamas publicly claimed responsibility as the attack began, and its leaders repeatedly described it as their operation. Israel's revised toll of about 1,200 dead rests on named records, and a UN Commission of Inquiry verified attackers' bodycam and CCTV footage showing deliberate killings of civilians. The "staged attack" sub-claim is contradicted by Hamas's own statements and this evidence. The "deliberate stand-down" sub-claim extrapolates from documented intelligence failures — acknowledged in the IDF's and Shin Bet's own probes — without evidence of intent. The "fabricated casualties" sub-claim is contradicted by the casualty record. Separately, some Israelis were likely killed by Israeli fire during the fighting; that does not make the attack staged.
