Fact check
Is it true: Black Knight Satellite?
No — this has been debunked.
The Black Knight is not one object but a collage of six or more separate incidents, each with a well-documented mundane explanation and none of which describe a persistent orbiting craft. The 1998 photographs that anchor the modern myth are cataloged by NASA as space debris and were identified by mission crew and analysts as a thermal insulation blanket lost during a spacewalk, which was tracked and burned up in the atmosphere days later.
The claim
An alien satellite roughly 13,000 years old orbits Earth in a near-polar orbit, was detected across a century of anomalies, and was finally photographed by NASA on the 1998 STS-88 mission.
