Is it true: Benghazi Stand-Down Claims?
Partly — it's more complicated than the claim suggests.
Real failures surround the 2012 Benghazi attack, but the central claim of a stand-down order is false. Security at the compound was inadequate despite repeated requests, and public messaging was misleading. Every investigation, including those conducted under Republican House majorities, found no stand-down order, and military commanders testified that no assets capable of arriving in time were on alert or in range.
